Turn your day around

Today started off very disappointing with a double cancellation at Eau Brink Studio twenty minutes before the workshop was to commence and I thought how do you turn your day around today?

Well I needed to get into my studio and see what I wanted to do. Will I finish one of the many items I am working on or shall I experiment with something new? The other option is to make a new item from start to finish in one day and see what develops without prior planning. This option is my favourite way of working.

So grabbing a papier mache face mask and a few paints, Angelina, stamps, Bondaweb and gilding flakes I sat down to play.

The resulting face mask is very pleasing and much easier on the eye than many you can buy already decorated. It subtle, yet still a statement. You can wear it at a masked ball, as well as out on all Hallows eve with the children and not be so scary. It has taken all day to make but that’s due to the many layers that are creating the design.

A delightful accessory
